Measurement Systems Inc.’s advanced human-machine interface equipment is used to control remote weapons stations that are fitted to many armoured vehicles and which are capable of being retrofitted to existing fleets to give enhanced protection for soldiers. In addition, Measurement Systems Inc. provides commanders’ and gunners’ controls as well as mission equipment controls for many well known platforms including Stryker, Bradley, Abrams, EFV, Protector RWS, LRAS, ITAS and ITSS.

Ultra’s Precision Air & Land Systems business specialises in vehicle electronics and offers databus-based information and power management systems for armoured vehicles. Applications include utilities management of the electrical power sub-system, integrated controls, lighting solutions, digital data subsystem and video management.

Complete control and interface solutions are provided for programmes such as the 40mm Case Telescoped Weapon System that has been selected as the cannon of choice for the Warrior lethality improvement programme. Precision Air & Land Systems supplies safety critical databus nodes employing fault tolerant architectures.

Precision Air & Land Systems also provides local situational awareness and vetronic systems such as those used on the British Army’s Titan, Trojan and Mastiff vehicles. Integrated Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS) are provided by Precision Air & Land Systems either as discrete systems or as part of a broader control and monitoring system within an armoured vehicle. Control handles and electrical panels from Precision Air & Land Systems and from Measurement Systems Inc. and HiPPAG from
Precision Air & Land Systems are also used in armoured vehicles.
